Slow down, get creative, and discover the relaxing art of wet felting! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll transform soft wool fibers into a beautiful three-dimensional felted vessel or bag using an inflatable ball as your form.
Using warm water, soap, colorful wool, and simple hand techniques, you’ll watch loose fibers magically bond together into a sturdy and unique piece of fiber art. The process is both calming and satisfying, making it a wonderful way to spend a creative day with others.
Whether you’re completely new to fiber arts or looking to try a new technique, this workshop offers a welcoming environment where you can learn, create, and enjoy the experience.
We will take a short lunch break during the day. Participants are welcome to visit one of Webster City’s local restaurants or bring a sack lunch if they prefer.
Please bring:
• One or two towels to catch drips
This workshop will be led by Marilyn Anderson an experienced fiber artist with over 35 years of experience in spinning, dyeing, and weaving. Her passion for fiber arts and teaching makes this a fun and welcoming introduction to the world of wet felting.
No experience necessary — all your materials are provided, just bring your creativity and be ready to get your hands a little soapy!
